Bluffton alum, pastor to speak on empathy

BLUFFTON — Georgia Metz, a 2013 graduate of Bluffton and currently pastor at Shalom Mennonite Congregation in Harrisonburg, Va., will speak during Bluffton University’s Spiritual Life Week Forum at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 21 in Yoder Recital Hall on Bluffton University’s campus. The title of her presentation is “Anyone Who Has Ears, Let Them Hear: Listening to the Other Side with Head and Heart.”

She will discuss how to hear differing viewpoints with grace and empathy, while remaining true to your own principles.

Metz will also speak during Chapel at 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 23 in Ramseyer Auditorium.
