LIMA — Firefighters Jon Buchanan, Anthony Truesdale, Craig Recker and Ross Kohler were sworn into the Lima Fire Department Wednesday morning by Mayor Sharetta Smith. Battalion Chief Brad Miller spoke on the new B shift firefighters before the ceremony began.
“We welcome these new firefighters with open arms,” said Miller. “We are thankful for everything they will bring to the department. We hope that they have very healthy long, safe and prosperous careers. We are going to do everything in our power to see that happen. We know that they will continue service to the community that has been a tradition with the Lima Fire Department and I want to welcome them aboard.”
