ST. MARYS — Carter Conley had 19 points and Ethan Murphy scored 11 for the Bulldogs, who advanced to play Marion Local at 6 p.m. Friday at St. Marys. Colton Bailey had 14 points and Wes Mckinley scored 12 for Ridgemont.

COLDWATER — The Redskins will play at 7:30 p.m. Friday against Temple Christian at Coldwater.

Spencerville’s Josh Henline (player of the year) and Kevin Sensabaugh (coach of the year) received top honors in the Northwest Conference.

Joining Henline on the first team were Dylan Smith (Spencerville), Gavin Etzler (Crestview), Trent Teman (Delphos Jefferson), Wren Sheets (Crestview) and Keaton Lehman (Allen East).

Lima Senior’s Je’Kel Cotton made the Three Rivers Athletic Conference second team and teammates Brandon Moore and Jagger Hutchins received honorable mention recognition.

All-MAC

Versailles’ Conner Stonebraker (player of the year) and Marion Local’s Kurt Goettemoeller (coach of the year) received top Midwest Athletic Conference honors.

Joining Stonebraker on the first team were Luke Schwieterman (Coldwater), Cale Rammel (Fort Recovery), Tate Hess (Marion Local), Jack Knapke (Marion Local), Jadyn Mescher (Marion Local), Kole Richard (Minster), Aaron Thieman (New Bremen), Luke Beyke (St. Henry), Evan Bowers (St. Henry), Cameron Elwer (Delphos St. John’s) and Landen Grothaus (Delpohs St. John’s).

Liberty-Benton’s Cason Doolittle (player of the year) and Doug Whiteman (coach of the year) received top honors in the Blanchard Valley Conference. Pandora-Gilboa’s Aiden Harris made the first team and teammate Colin Harris received second team recognition.

Garmatter retires

at Bluffton

BLUFFTON — Bluffton High School’s Eric Garmatter has stepped down after 28 years of coaching basketball. He started his career as the JV boys coach during the 1995-96 season and took over as varsity girls head coach in 2011-12.

Garmatter finished his head coaching career with a record of 164-114. He was named NWC Coach of the Year for the 2018-19 season when the Pirates tied Columbus Grove for the conference title.

Liberty-Benton’s Lauren Gerken (player of the year) and Nate Irwin (coach of the year) received top honors. Pandora-Gilboa’s Savanah Knueven and Aliyah Wise received honorable mention recognition.
