I am writing in response to the same-sex part in the article in The Lima News on Dec. 9, “Bill protecting same-sex, interracial unions clears Congress.” This article states that this legislation reflects a stark turnaround in societal attitudes.
In this article, Nancy Pelosi called the bill “a glorious triumph of love and freedom.” Rep. Ann Wagner said, “To me, this is really just standing with the Constitution.”
Since God designed and created us, how does it stand with God?
You will find that in the following two verses:
• Leviticus 20:13: “If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination.”
• 1 Corinthians 7:2: “Let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband.” The Hebrew word for wife (ishshah) means “female,” and the word for husband (baal) means “male.”
Let’s vote for candidates that stand with God and His Word.
