Letter: Mistaken assumptions about Sinema’s move to independent

Kathy Ball’s letter in the Dec. 14 edition of The Lima News says, “Krysten Sinema, the Democratic senator from Arizona, announced Friday that she has registered as an independent and says she will caucus with Republicans.”

However, the Dec. 10 Lima News had an article on page 3A announcing the switch that states, “But the first-term senator also says she doesn’t plan to caucus with Republicans and that will ensure Democrats retain their narrow voting majority in the Senate.”

I’m not an authority; I’m just pointing this out.
