Conservation grant opportunity now available

LIMA — The Natural Resource Assistance Council has announced the application for Round 17 of Clean Ohio Green Space Conservation Fund is now open. The grant is now available to local communities and non-profit organizations totaling over $5.6 million. The goal is to preserve natural areas, and streams and create outdoor recreational opportunities.

“This committee makes recommendations for funding for green space acquisition and improvement projects,” said Council District 13 Chairman Howard Elstro. “We encourage non-profits and government entities to consider making applications and creating green space that benefits the wider community and in this time of global warming we need more of them.”

Applications began Wednesday and are due by Jan. 20, 2023.
