LIMA — Dr. Monzer Saad, hospital medical director for Lima Memorial Health System, has earned the Leadership Rookie of the Year Award from medical staffing firm SCP Health.
The award recognized health care providers who demonstrated leadership, teamwork and administrative support amid the pandemic.
Saad, who was nominated by his colleagues, was one of 7,500 applicants.
“We don’t have a large team to start with, so we had to depend on each other,” Saad said, noting that the hospital team often worked extra shifts, sometimes working as many as 27 days per month.
“This award is the work that has been put in by a lot of people, by a lot of coworkers,” Saad said.
