COLDWATER — The St. Marys Seahawks won the the combined and boys team titles at Saturday’s Tri County A Championships.
The Seahawks finished with 776.5 combined points with the Troy Dolphins finishing second (682) in the seven-team field. The St. Marys boys had 471 points with Celina (402.5) finishing second. Troy was the girls winner with 392. St. Marys was second (305.5).
Celina’s Justin Fleagle set a meet record of 27.11 in the 50 meter backstroke. He was also a member of the record-setting 100 freestyle relay team with Mason Baker, Garrett Weinninger and Keaton McMurray that finished in 1:39.67.
Locos to play doubleheader Sunday
LIMA — The Galion Graders at Lima Locos game was postponed Saturday at Simmons Field because of wet grounds.
The two teams will play a doubleheader at Simmons Field starting at 5 p.m. today. Both games will be seven innings.
The Locos (25-8) are in first place in the Central Division of the Great Lakes Collegiate League, six games ahead of second-place Grand Lake (19-14).
The magic number for the Locos to clinch the Central is three, which is a combination of Locos’ wins and Grand Lake losses which adds up to three.
Galion is in third place in the Central at 15-18.
Lima has eight games left in the regular season. If it wins the Central Division, it would receive a first-round bye and move on to the best-of-three GLCL semifinal series.
The top two teams in the Northern, Central and Southern Divisions will qualify for the postseason playoffs, which start the first week of August.

WAPAKONETA — Julius Kiptoo of Toledo won the 10K race with a chip time of 32 minutes, 47.8 seconds. Christopher Lemon of Dayton was second (33:12.4). Lizzie Gleason of Dayton was the first woman to finish in 39:12.6. Tipp City’s Allison Stover was second (45:14.1). Matt Gaerke of Rockford finished eighth overall and was the boys 15-19 winner in 37:47.7. Waynesfield’s Bailie Barrington was first among girls 15-19 in 45:56.5. Lima’s Alex Honigford was the first to finish among those 14 and younger in 47:17.6 and Minster’s Cameo Cedarleaf was the girls winner in the same age group (53:31.1). Wapak’s Nicki Metger was the women’s 45-49 winner (48:54.7). Wapak’s Theresa Gren was the women’s 25-29 winner (54:29.2). Lima’s Vicki Hughes was the top women’s 65-69 runner (1:05:08.5)
Banabas Sang of Toledo won the 5K event in 16:39.3 followed by Carey’s Theodore Reinhart (17:39.1). Wapakoneta’s Isaac Webb (18:13.1) was fourth overall and won the boys 15-19 category followed by Lima’s Vincent Abrams (19:01.2, sixth overall) and Wapak’s Owen Simonson (19:48.7, eighth overall).
Hope Oelkrug of Liberty Center was the top women’s finisher in 20:04.8 followed by Lindsey Cummings (20:28.5).
Ada’s Kristen Juergens was the women’s 30-34 winner (22:07.9). Nathan Hall of Ada was the men’s 30-34 winner (22:16.4).
