Dray shoots 74 for low round in junior tourney

LIMA — Logan Dray shot a 3-over 74 for the low round of the day and won the LuLu’s Diner Open boys 16-18 title Thursday at Lost Creek Golfers Club as part of the Lima Junior Golf Association — McDonald’s Junior Series.

Joshah Rager defeated Austin Radcliff in a playoff for second after each shot 75.

Jill Schmitmeyer won the girls 16-18 crown with a 75. Erin Mulcahy finished with an 81 for second.

Carson Harmon was the boys 14-15 winner with an 81. Alex Wisser was second with an 85.

Isaiah Johns won the nine-hole boys 12-13 competition with a 40. Jack Gerker defeated Parker Judy in a playoff for second after each shot 45. Kayla Watkins was the girls 15 and younger winner with a 56, six shot better than runner-up Kayla Nartker.

Ottawa-Glandorf defeated host Holgate 15-5 and Columbus Grove edged Kalida 1-0 at Miller City in South Sectional games.

Holgate will play host to Kalida at 5 p.m. and Grove will play at Miller City at 6 p.m. Friday.

District 5

Bath plays host to Lima Central Catholic at 4 p.m. Friday followed by Delphos St. John’s and Allen East in the East Sectional.

At Crestview, Delphos Jefferson plays Lincolnview at 4 p.m. Friday followed by St. Marys and Spencerville in the West Sectional.
