LIMA — Prosecutors met briefly behind closed doors Wednesday morning with the attorney for a Lima man charged with murder in the shooting death of a 29-year-old Lima man more than a year ago.
According to Defense Attorney Bill Kluge, the result of Wednesday’s pretrial hearing in Allen County Common Pleas Court was the scheduled trial of Terry Williams, 28, was pushed back until March 27. Williams faces murder charges in the shooting death of Edward Henry in August of last year,
A jury trial for Williams, one of two Lima men charged in connection with Henry’s death, was originally to have started on Jan. 16.
Williams was indicted by an Allen County grand jury in June on charges of murder with a firearm specification, an unclassified felony, and for discharging a firearm on or near a prohibited premise, a felony of the first degree.
Williams and Devonte Andrews, 21, of Lima, are both charged for their roles in the Aug. 18, 2016, shooting death of Henry at the Lima Estates Apartments at 760 E. 4th St.
A jury trial for Andrews is scheduled to begin Jan. 30.
