Indiana woman injured in crash on U.S. 30

VAN WERT — An Indiana woman is being treated for serious injuries following a crash Wednesday evening on U.S. 30.

Kim Erne, 52, of Warsaw, Indiana, was taken to Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne to be treated, the Ohio State Highway Patrol reported.

Erne was a passenger in a motor home involved in the crash. She was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected.

Brian Erne, of Warsaw, Indiana, was driving the motor home east on U.S. 30 when a semi tractor-trailer driven by Kenneth Cambron, 78, of Port Jefferson, failed to yield when Cambron was entering eastbound 30 from state Route 49, the patrol reported.

Brian Erne tried to avoid the collision. His vehicle slid off the right side of the road, struck a sign and overturned, the patrol reported.

Brian Erne was wearing a seatbelt and was treated and released from Van Wert County Hospital with minor injuries, the patrol reported.
