LIMA — No one was injured in a house fire late Thursday.
No one was inside 755 S. Broadway St. when a call came in at 11:22 p.m. that it was on fire. The house was fully engulfed and destroyed, said Lima Fire Department Battalion Chief Ed Hower.
The occupant, Kathleen Brewster, was moving out and had not been at the house for a couple days, Hower said.
The house is owned by June Smith, according to records from the Allen County Auditor’s Office.
The loss is estimated at $25,000. Smith did not have insurance, Hower said.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation, he said.
