LIMA — The Lima Police Department investigated a pair of shootings late Tuesday/early Wednesday that were later determined to be related.
Lt. Ronald Holman reported that detectives went to the 1000 block of North Street at 10:20 p.m. after gunfire was reported between two separate groups. While detectives were on the scene, more gunshots were reported on the 500 block of West Wayne Street at 12:16 a.m. During the second shooting, one victim involved in the altercation and another non-involved citizen who happened to be driving by were struck by gunfire.
Holman reported that both victims were transported to St. Rita’s Medical Center for treatment.
Holman said names of those involved in the incident have not yet been released due to the continuing investigation. He did not have a status on either of the shooting victims.
