The article Sunday in The Lima News on transplantation of organs prompts this information. John Hermiller, a native of Ottawa and son of Robert J. Hermiller for whom the Ottawa-Glandorf High School Gymnasium is named, had a kidney and pancreas transplant Friday at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center.
John has been a diabetic since infancy and most recently was having daily kidney dialysis. Both new organs seem to be working effectively and his condition is good. John has lived the last 15-years mostly in Columbus Grove and Findlay. He currently resides in Findlay with his wife, Jayne.
