Letter: Great cause, but no media

On a recent Saturday night at Westgate Lanes in Lima, WAR Wrestling was once again doing what they do. They were raising money for two local food banks by having people bowl with wrestlers. It was a great night and everyone had fun, with $690 raised. It will be shared by Impact Mt Tabor food pantry and the Allen County Veterans Food Pantry.

These funds are huge to these food banks. The $345 going to Impact will help more than 400 people with food for people that are in need.

What is bothersome is that Tom Williams and all the WAR staff once again does something huge for the community and gets no media coverage at all. This is sad due to the fact that they have raised more than $250,000 in the last 13 years for local charities. I think the media in Lima need to get on board for this great organization that helps out so much in the community.
