ARCHERY

Allen County: The Allen County Archers will be holding 3-D shoots the first Saturday and Sunday of each month through September. It is open to all equipment.

BASEBALL

Lima: The Lima Family YMCA will be holding T-Ball and Coaches Pitch program at Robb Park. The coaches meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. June 16 at the Family YMCA. Practice begins the week of June 22 with games beginning June 29. Coaches pitch will be held Mondays and Wednesdays and T-ball will be played Tuesdays and Thursdays. EQUESTRIAN

Cridersville: The Equestrian Therapy Program is offering Equine University, an eight-week riding lesson program at 22532 Bowsher Road, from Monday, June 15 through Friday, Aug. 14. The program is available to the general population, providing riders with the basics of horsemanship from the ground to the saddle. Participants will learn leading, grooming, communicating with the horse, joining up with your equine partner and basic riding skills. The cost is $480 for eight one-on-one, hour-long lessons with a PATH Intl. certified instructor. GOLF

Lima: The Lima Family YMCA will be holding a Tee Up for Kids Golf Outing on Friday, July 10, at Hidden Creek Golf Club. Cost is $280 for a foursome and $70 per individual player. Bluffton: Bluffton University’s 23rd annual Alumni and Friends Golf Scramble will be held Saturday, July 25, at Bluffton Golf Club. Registration for the event is $90 per golfer or $360 for a complete team of four at bluffton.edu/golf by July 18. This year’s event will include on-course games and challenges to enhance team position and a silent auction. This event was created by Bluffton alumni Lynn Martin ’66, Rod McDaniel ’66 and Hub Reed ’68 for the purpose of providing an opportunity for alumni and friends to gather to renew friendships, to enjoy the game of golf and to provide financial assistance for TEAM Bluffton, which enhances Bluffton’s athletic programs by providing financial support for facility improvements, equipment purchases and special team development opportunities throughout the year.

Lima: The Lima/Allen County Chamber of Commerce’s 52nd annual Chamber Golf Classic will be Wednesday, Aug. 5, with tee times from 8 a.m. until noon. If allowed, there will be an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start. The locations of the Golf Classic will be Hidden Creek Golf Club and Colonial Golfers Club. Registrations now being accepted. Register a foursome or be placed with a foursome; tickets are $95 per golfer or $380 for a foursome. There are also 50/50 raffle tickets available for $10 each. HORSESHOES

Lima: The Allen County Horseshoe Pitchers, located at 1815 C St., have openings in leagues and doubles. Open doubles begins at 8:30 a.m. Saturdays. Corn hole leagues are forming. LIFEGUARDING

The Lima Family YMCA has started teaching an online lifeguarding class now (18 hours) and then allowing the participants to test out in person in May or June when the YMCA is allowed to reopen. Participants must be 15 years of age to enroll. The fee for the full class is $225 for YMCA members and $250 for non members. Participants will pay a $30 deposit initially to do the online course. The remainder of the fee will be due when they start at the Y with water skills. The deposit will not be refunded if they are not able to complete the swimming skills. When the stay at home order is lifted and the YMCA reopens, there will be an eight hour class which includes water skills, CPR, first aid and the final written tests. The instructor will work with the students to schedule this final class. Register online at limaymca.net. PICKLEBALL

Lima: The Lima YMCA is holding open pickleball play from 10 a.m. to noon Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays (appointment only). RUNNING

Lakeview: The 13th annual 5k on the Lake will be held at 8 a.m. Saturday, July 4. Packet pick up will begin at 6 a.m. at 330 West Lake St. All registration, including race day registration, will be done online. Register early to guarantee a T-shirt. SOCCER

SOFTBALL

Grand Lake: The Grand Lake Fall League is taking registrations for the 2020 Fall League. The Fastpitch Softball league will be divided up into four divisions this year: ninth through 12th grade, sixth through eighth grade, third through fifth grade and a travel team division for 16 and under and 18 and under teams. The league will play two games on Sundays for five weeks; there are no practices as to avoid any conflicts with fall sports. TRAPSHOOTING

Lima: The Lima Sabres have various shooting events. Thursday Trap Practice for Adults/Juniors/Beginners is 4 p.m. weekly. Adult Trap Practice is 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wednesdays, weather permitting.
