Each week, The Lima News publishes a calendar of events of local interest. Events should be submitted by noon Wednesday of each week to The Lima News.

ARCHERY

Allen County: The Allen County Archers are holding traditional 3-D shoots on the third Saturday of the month all year long. They are open to all archery equipment.

Columbus Grove: Columbus Grove Archery Club memberships are available. For info call Tom Frick at 419-384-3033.

BASKETBALL

Lima: Registration is underway for the K –second grade basketball skill development camp. Skill training begins Saturday, Nov. 23. The registration fee is $20 for members and $40 for non members. You may register online at limaymca.net, by phone at 419-223-6045 or in person at the Lima Family YMCA.

CARD SHOW

Fort Wayne: A card show will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 9 , at the Ramada plaza center and travel hotel (formally the Hotel Fort Wayne) located at 305 E Washington Center rd (exit 312a off of I-69) in Fort Wayne, Indiana, there will be a sports card and collectibles show. HORSESHOES

Lima: The Allen County Horseshoe Pitchers, located at 1815 C St., have openings in leagues and doubles. Open doubles begins at 8:30 a.m. Saturdays. Corn hole leagues are forming. KARATE

Lima: The Lima Family YMCA is holding a karate program from 6:30-8 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays. The fee is $30 for members and $60 for nonmembers.

PICKLEBALL

Lima: Pickleball is played at Bradfield Center from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays. All skill levels are welcome.

Lima: The Lima YMCA is holding open pickleball play from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday (appointment only). Free for YMCA members and $3 per visit for nonmembers or $20 per month for nonmembers (unlimited play). Individuals can register online at limaymca.net.

Bluffton: The Bluffton Family Recreation will be offering pickleball from 8:30-10:30 a.m. and 7-9 p.m. Tuesdays and from 8:30-10:30 a.m. and 5-7 p.m. Thursdays.

TRAPSHOOTING

Lima: The Lima Sabres have various shooting events. Thursday Trap Practice for Adults/Juniors/Beginners is 4 p.m. weekly. Adult Trap Practice is 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wednesdays, weather permitting. The Lima Christian Academy Lady Lions were crowned BCSO Division II volleyball champions at the Buckeye Christian School Organization’s 2019 Volleyball and Soccer Tournaments on Oct. 25-26. Eleven schools from all across Ohio traveled to Lima for two days of season-ending competition. The Lady Lions were also awarded the 2019 Division II Sportsmanship Trophy.
