Naumann has low score in junior tourney

OTTAWA — Girls 16-18 winner Ellen Naumann shot a 3-under-par 68 for the low round in Tuesday’s Lima Junior Golf Association McDonald’s Junior Series Union Bank Open at Pike Run Golf Club.

Emma Mayers was runner-up with an 82.

Carson Harmon was the boys 16-18 champ with a 70. Riley Wilcoxon was second with a 74. Parker Judy’s 80 was the boys 14-15 low score. Collin Feathers was next with an 83.

In the nine-hole competition, Brevin Brandt finished atop the boys 12-13 standings with a 4-over-par 39, Braylon Lampert shot 41 for the next lowest total. Ellas Porter was the girls 15 and younger winner with a 43. Kelsey Nelson was runner-up with a 48.

Ohio Junior Girls Championship

MARION — Lima Central Catholic’s Mary Kelly Mulcahy finished in a tie for ninth overall and seventh in the 16-19 division at the 2020 Ohio Junior Girls Championship at Marion Country Club. Mulcahy finished with a two-day total of 149. Leila Raines from Galena was the overall champ with a 140 score. Erin Mulcahy finished in a tie for 16th in the girls 16-19 competition with a 155 total. Bridget Mulcahy was 19th in the 14-15 division with a 184 total. Cara Heisterkamp from Westlake was the 14-15 champ with a 149 score.
