Charleston prayer vigil to be held in Town Square

LIMA — Area pastors will host a Prayer of Solidarity Vigil at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Town Square concerning the fatal shooting at Emanuel AME Church in Charleston, South Carolina, that took the lives of nine people attending a Bible study class.

Headed by the Rev. LaMont Monford of Philippian Missionary Baptist Church and the Rev. David Harris of Trinity United Methodist Church, the event will feature several pastors praying for Charleston and for Christian unity. All pastors and congregations are encouraged to attend.
