Special needs prom planned at church

A Night to Shine Prom will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at Lima First Assembly of God, 1660 Findlay Road. Attendees can register online at www.limafirst.com. The event, which is free, is sponsored by the Tim Tebow Foundation. Lima was one of only 50 places chosen to have the event. The prom night is open to those with specials needs, ages 16 to 21. Fellowship meal to be served

Members welcome to join ecumenical choir

Rehearsals for the Good Friday ecumenical choir Adoramus will begin at 1 p.m. Sunday in the Basilica of Our Lady of Consolation Shrine, 315 Clay St. This is the fifth year for the ecumenical choir which is directed by Jack Gerding. Valentine’s Day Dinner

There will be a Valentine’s Dinner served between 4 and 7 p.m. Saturday at Westminster United Methodist Church, 6650 Faulkner Road. The menu includes baked steak or chicken, mashed potatoes, vegetable, salad, roll, dessert and drink. While there is no cost for the dinner, a free will offering will be taken.
