Three arrested on drug charges

OTTAWA — The Putnam County Sheriff’s Office reported three people were indicted on a variety of drug charges following an investigation.

The report said Jeremy Okuley, 37, of Continental, Roberto Barraza, 37, of Leipsic, and Robert Howard III, 32, of Ottawa, were indicted after an investigation over several months by the sheriff’s office and the Multi Area Narcotics Task Force.

Howard was indicted on three counts of trafficking in marijuana, each fourth degree felonies, one count of drug trafficking, a fourth degree felony, and one count of permitting drug abuse with a vehicle, a fifth degree felony.

Barraza was charged with two counts of trafficking in prescription pills, and two counts of trafficking in marijuana, both fifth degree felonies.

Okuley was charged with a fourth degree felony charge of trafficking in cocaine.

The charges in these cases are not related to a traffic stop that occurred Thursday in Putnam County that led to a drug arrest. The suspect in the traffic stop was not named.
