OTTAWA — The Ottawa SAL Post 63 will hold a fundraiser for Special Olympics beginning at noon, April 4, at Ottawa Highland Lanes, featuring a chicken barbecue.
The post hopes to use funds to purchase a new bus. It has been holding a “coin toss” at Putnam County basketball games with students going through the crowd with bags so people can toss their lose change inside. Its goal is to top the $35,000 raised a year ago.
