Rapist resentenced after clerical error

LIMA — A woman sentenced to 41 years in prison for raping an 11-year-old child received the identical term Wednesday in a resentencing hearing after a clerical error during her original hearing.

Tina Hill, 43, was sentenced on the same charges of rape, complicity to rape, endangering children, tampering with evidence, six counts of pandering sexual oriented matter involving a minor, and 20 counts of illegal use of a minor in nudity oriented material/performance.

Hill was sentenced in November but attorneys in the case realized under the sections of law, specific to the rape charges, that Hill was not fully informed of the potential penalties.

Hill was brought back for the hearing to make sure she was fully advised. She agreed to enter a plea to the same charges and receive the same sentence.

Hill committed the crimes to please a man who lived in Henry County. The man is facing similar charges in federal court.
