6th annual ‘Walk a Mile in Her Shoes’

LIMA — Male students and other men from the school and throughout the community will be walking a mile in women’s high heels to raise awareness Friday at Bluffton University.

The event is a part of the national effort to end rape, sexual assault and gender violence through education and fundraising.

The Bluffton High School PALS Club and Social Work Club of Bluffton University, the Partnership for Violence Free Families and Crossroads Crisis Center will be hosting the 6th Annual “Walk a Mile in Her Shoes” event.

At 11:30 a.m., lunch for the participants will be held at Marbeck Hall. At 12:15 p.m. the opening ceremony will begin and the “Silent Witness” presentation will be held in Burcky Gym. At 12:45 p.m. the Walk Line-Up/March will begin. At 1:30 p.m. the walk will be completed and students will be released back to the schools.
