Sroufe, McGraw, Billiter will join Elida Hall of Fame

Raymond Sroufe, Jenni McGraw and Chrissy Billiter will be inducted into Elida High School’s Athletic Hall of Fame on Jan. 17.

The ceremony will include a 1 p.m. luncheon and introduction of the inductees at the boys basketball game that night against Archbold at the Elida Fieldhouse.

Sroufe, a 1959 graduate, earned nine varsity letters in football, basketball, baseball and track.

He was a member of a baseball team that made it to the state championship game and pitched a no-hitter with 17 strikeouts against Lafayette. He was first-team All-City and second-team All-Allen County in basketball and played every position but tackle during his football career.

McGraw, a 1992 graduate, played basketball and softball. She had 993 career points and was first-team All-Western Buckeye League and third-team All-Ohio in basketball. She was the Lima Player of the Year. She went on to score 1,497 points in her career at the University of Findlay.

Billiter, a 1995 graduate, played basketball, volleyball and softball. She is the career scoring leader at Elida in basketball with 1,875 points. She was first-team All-Ohio and a four-time first-team All-WBL selection. She was first-team All-WBL twice in volleyball and softball.

She went on to play four years at Bowling Green State University. She is currently co-coach of Elida’s girls basketball team and has coached basketball and softball at the junior high level.

Tickets to the luncheon honoring the inductees cost $20 and are available at the high school activities office.
