The U.S. District Court, Northern District of Ohio, will hold a naturalization ceremony at The University of Findlay at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Koehler Fitness and Recreation Complex with the Judge John P. Gustafson presiding.
The Department of Theatre at The Ohio State University at Lima presents “Reckless” by Craig Lucas at 7:30 p.m., April Thursday, Friday, Saturday, April 10, and April 11 and at 2 p.m. April 12 on the stage of the Martha W. Farmer Theatre for the Performing Arts in Reed Hall. Seating is limited. Tickets are $7 for adults and $5 for students and seniors. Call the Box Office at 419-995-8382 to reserve your seat. Bcause of the unique staging of “Reckless,” there will be no late seating.
Karen Hough, former Second City performer is the best-selling author of “The Improvisation Edge: Secrets to Building Trust and Radical Collaboration at Work.” Now the founder and CEO of Columbus-based ImprovEdge, Hough will be providing professional pointers at The University of Findlay’s Alumni Memorial Union Multipurpose Room at 7 p.m. Wednesday. The Continuing Education at The Ohio State University at Lima announces the April classes for its Lifelong Learning Institute held at the Public Services Building, Rooms 212-213 on The Ohio State University-Lima campus. It is time to register now for the Tuesday and Thursday classes, beginning Tuesday and ending April 30. Registration fee is $40 for those over 50 years old, who are either semiretired or retired. There is a maximum of 45 persons in each class, and classes are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. The registration deadline is April 6. Classes offered this spring are: Looking Into the Comics, led by David Adams; Looking Into Painting by Mary Ann Sullivan; Music In Performance with 4 different directors; Mostly Healthy Cooking with Brian Keegan; What’s Happening in Ohio NOW? with four moderators; How Do They Do That? with four local business moderators
The West Central Ohio Manufacturing Consortium will offer its Basic Manufacturing Pathway class Wednesday through May 1 at Ohio Means Jobs – Allen County, 1501 S. Dixie Highway, Lima. This 40-hour class will be held Wednesdays and Fridays, 10 am to 3 pm. Deadline to register is Tuesday by calling WCOMC at 419-995-8353.
