LIMA — The Family and Children First Council received approval from Allen County commissioners on Tuesday to submit an application to the Ohio Department of Health for a 2016 Help Me Grow Early Intervention grant.
“Even though this is a continuation grant, they are giving us an additional $36,342, for a total of $227,357,” council coordinator Jennie Horner said.
The funds are pegged to be used to help identify children with developmental disabilities prior to age 3 to give them the help they need to prepare for their school years.
