The Lima Fire Department responded to the call at 7:18 a.m. at 430 E. Albert St. where children were playing with a heater near a closet when the fire started, Battalion Chief Greg Kirkendall said.

A 3-year-old child and Tommy Fletcher, 39, of Lima, were taken to Lima Memorial Health System for their injuries. Kirkendall said Fletcher was in good condition Saturday afternoon.
