Elida

Bulldog Youth Athletic Association will have spring signups from 6 to 8 p.m. March 3, 4 and 5 and 9 a.m. to noon March 7 at Elida Elementary School. Bath Youth Baseball

The Bath Parents Sports Club is accepting registration for this year’s youth baseball season. Sign-ups will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. March 10 and 12 in the Bath Middle School cafeteria. Registration deadline is March 20. For details, call Ray Price at 419-221-2467.

Delphos

The sixth annual Nathan Miller Memorial Baseball Tournament will be May 29-31 at the Delphos Stadium Park. The tournament field will consist of 16 to 20 teams for boys ages 11-12 years old (age cutoff is April 1). The tournament will be pool play with a three-game guarantee. Bath

Lima’s “Wildcat” 15U baseball classic tournament will be held June 5-7 at Bath High School. Cost will be $395 per team with a three game guarantee. Bath

The Bath High School baseball program is having its annual “Best of Northwest” youth baseball tournament June 5-7. There will be 12U, 10U and 8U coach pitch division. Cost for each division is $200 with a three game guarantee. Awards will be given to the first and second place teams in each division. St. Marys

St. Marys Summer Classic tournament in June 12-14 for ages 9-12 in St. Marys, with newly reworked diamonds. Ages 9 and 10 play on 46/60 foot, while 11 and 12 play on 50/70. Glandorf

Glandorf will be playing host to a Glandorf Park Classic youth baseball tournament June 13 and 14th. There will be 10U and 12U divisions (age cutoff is April 1). BASEBALL/SOFTBALL

BFR Sports and Fitness

Batting and fielding will be the emphasis of the clinics offered in February at BFR. Baseball and softball players, U12 and older, can get ready for the outdoor season from the 90 minute training sessions.

Baseball players will meet March 5 and March 19.

Softball players will meet March 12 and March 26.

Registration is available by the week for $15 or $40 for three sessions.

Each session will have a maximum of 12 participants. Evan Skilliter, BFR Sport Coordinator, will lead the sessions with assistance from area coaches. Registration is available online (www.bfronline.com) or by telephone (419-358-4150).

Bluffton

BFR Sports and Fitness’ Girls Basketball Classic Tournaments are on the horizon. Girls will play March 7 and March 8. Each game will be officiated by two licensed referees. Tournament costs $130 per team. Limited spots available. Register soon.

Rockford

Parkway is holding girls and boys tournaments. The boys event is March 5-7 for teams in grades two through six. All teams need to be from the same school district, and no AAU teams are allowed. The Ada Bulldog Girls’ Classic tournament for those in fifth and sixth grades will be held March 7-8 at Ada High School. Teams are guaranteed three games. School teams only. Tiffin

The fifth annual Best of the Best Spring Shootout will be held March 7 and 8 at Tiffin University’s Heminger Center in Tiffin. There will be fourth-, fifth-, sixth-, seventh- and eight-grade divisions. There is a three-game guarantee and the cost is $225 per team. Northwest Ohio Basketball Club tryouts for boys wanting to play on a travelling team in grades 6, 7 and 8 is 6 p.m March 8 and for boys in grades 9, 10 and 11 at 6 p.m. March 9. Jefferson boys’ basketball coach Marc Smith and staff, along with the Jefferson Baseball program have scheduled the 10th annual Wildcat Fourth, Fifth and Sixth Grade Tournament from Friday, March 20, through Sunday, March 22 at Delphos Jefferson High School and Middle School. For the first time this is for boys and girls teams. There will be separate divisions for each grade level. Each team will be guaranteed a minimum of three games. Entry fee for this event is $125. CHEERLEADING

Kenton

The Made To Move Tumbling and Hardin County HEAT Cheer will be playing host to a Tumbling and Cheer Exhibition on from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. March 7 at the Hardin County Family YMCA. Admission is a Free Will Donation (suggested donation is $3 per person). There will be prize raffles, 50/50 raffle, and a silent auction. All monies raised will help with hotel costs for the Hardin HEAT Cheerleaders who will be attending the US Finals National Competition in Indianapolis from April 10 until April 12. Raffle tickets are $1 a piece and can be purchased from any Hardin HEAT member or coach.

Sports Conditioning

SPARK Sports Performance Training is 30 minutes of high intensity speed, agility and explosion for youth in grades 6-12. GOLF

UNOH Clinic

The University of Northwestern Ohio Men’s Golf Program invites all high school aged golfers to its inaugural Winter Indoor Golf Clinic to be held at the UNOH Indoor Athletic Complex at 1390 N. Cable Road on March 8. This clinic is designed to provide specific instruction from the coaching staff in all aspects of the game. There will be individual instruction on putting, chipping and ball trajectory work (on short, mid, and long irons, as well as fairway woods, hybrids and the driver). Each participant will also spend 15 minutes of one-on-one time with our swing coach on the simulator and will receive a video copy of the lesson via email. The sessions will last a total of three hours with 10 players in each session. There will be two sessions per day (noon to 3 p.m. and 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.) The clinic will be limited to 60 players.

Optimist Junior Golf Championship

St. Marys Camp

The St. Marys Roughriders will conduct four fundamentals football camps for incoming kindergartners through ninth grade students. These camps will be held at the TURF football complex. The cost will be $30 for each participant. There will be a $20 charge for the eighth and ninth grade camp. Athletes will receive a treat each day as well as a camp shirt. The Elementary Camp for grades K-3 will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 22-24, the Midget Camp for grades four through six will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. June 22-24, the Junior High Camp for seventh- and eighth-graders will be from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. July 13-15 and the freshmen camp for ninth-graders will be from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. July 13-15. PICKLEBALL

Van Wert

The YMCA of Van Wert County has a pickleball tournament with play starting at noon March 15. Participants can sign up as an individual or a two-person team. Individuals will be assigned a partner. Divisions include men’s, women’s and co-ed. Registration for players age 18 and older ends March 9 and costs $20 per player for the first division and $10 for each additional division. RUNNING

Columbus Grove

The 37th annual BBO road race is 2 p.m. March 14 in downtown Columbus Grove. Registration for the four-mile road race begins at noon in Columbus Grove’s high school gymnasium. Awards ceremony follows the race for age groups in male and female participants, who also receive coupon for bowl of hobo stew. Registration is $20 with dry-fit shit and $15 without shirt. Bluffton

Registration for the second annual Be A Beaver Triathlon on May 30 has begun. Participants may register online at 3disciplines.com. Cost is $60 for individuals and $100 for relay teams.

On-site registration will be available May 29 at the Bluffton Community Swimming Pool, with prices $10 higher, and from 6 a.m. 8 a.m. on the day of the triathlon, with prices $20 higher. Individuals may also register on site for any one of the three triathlon disciplines at a cost of $25.

Beginning at 9 a.m. May 30 at the pool, the triathlon will include a 400-meter swim, a 20-kilometer bike course on nearby country roads and a 5K run through village streets and the Bluffton University Nature Preserve.

Participants who register by May 22 will receive an event shirt. Finishers’ mementos will be presented, along with awards to the top three finishers in each age group. There will be professional chip timing, with results available online afterward.

Proceeds will help the cross country and track and field teams cover their costs to attend out-of-state invitational meets.

Continental

The Continental Conservation Club, half a mile north and half a mile east of Continental on Road E, will have a shooting for boneless arm roast and pork loins today. Practice and still target shooting is 11:30 a.m. Main event is 12:30 p.m. There are eight to a class and four winners to a class, with 25 16-yard targets and 25 handicap targets. Lunch and shells are available. The regular meeting is the first Tuesday of each month at 8 p.m.
