Putnam county is currently under a level one roadway advisory.
Sgt. Nelson issued the advisory at 7 a.m. Sunday. Roads are covered with snow and ice, creating slippery and hazardous driving conditions.
Residents are encouraged to use caution until authorities determine roadways are once again safe.
Neighboring counties, such as Auglaize, have since lifted its winter weather warning, downgrading to a winter weather advisory from 8 p.m. Sunday to 7 a.m. Monday.
