Perry remains unbeaten in NWCC

PERRY TOWNSHIP — The host Commodores improved to 5-0 in the Northwest Central Conference with a 96-50 victory over Ridgemont on Friday night.

Jared Poling (23), Jakoby Lane-Harvey (22), Plummie Gardner (16) and Xavier Monfort (10) all scored in double digits for Perry. Cade Mckinley led Ridgemont with 11 points.

Spencerville 59,

Columbus Grove 42

SPENCERVILLE — Mason Nourse (20), Zach Goecke (13) and Bailey Croft (11) all scored in double digits for the host Bearcats who improved to 10-3 on the season and 4-1 in the Northwest Conference. Jace Darbyshire had 13 points and Logan Diller scored 10 for the Bulldogs who fell to 3-1 in the NWC and 9-4 overall.

Allen East 56, Bluffton 52

HARROD — Spencer Miller had 16 points and Luke Perkins scored 11 as Allen East (5-10) withstood an 18-8 fourth quarter rally by Bluffton (11-5) to join the visiting Pirates at 2-3 in the NWC. Levi Kistler had 17 points and Mitchell Ault scored 11 for Bluffton

Temple Christian 69

LIMA — Brock Bowman (24), Markus Howell (16) and Michael Breaston (15) all scored in double digits for Temple Christian.

Van Wert 57, Bath 47

VAN WERT — The host Cougars built a 25-20 lead at halftime and went on to defeat Bath in a Western Buckeye League encounter. Connor Holliday (18), Jacob Kelly (14) and Josh Braun (12) all scored in double digits for Van Wert (6-8, 2-3 WBL). Chase Clark had 16 points and Andrew Renner scored 13 for Bath (0-5, 3-11).

Defiance 56, Wapakoneta 48

DEFIANCE — Jarret Koch and Ethan Good had 12 points each as Wapak fell to 8-7 overall and 2-3 in the WBL. Defiance improved to 14-1 on the season and 4-1 in the league.

Celina 59, St. Marys 49

CELINA — Ryan Hoyng (19), Grant Laffin (12) and Logan Delong (11) all scored in double digits as Celina moved to 5-0 in the WBL and 12-2 overall. Josh Young had 24 points as St. Marys fell to 4-1 in the league and 10-5 overall.

Ottoville 57,

Fort Jennings 36

OTTOVILLE — Branot Landin (14), Colin Bendele (12), Ty Roby (11) and Nick Moorman (10) all scored in double digits for Ottoville in a Putnam County match-up. Nick Von Sosson had 14 points and Austin Kehres scored 10 for Fort Jennings.

Crestview 57, Paulding 48

PAULDING — Connor Lautzenheisen had 28 points as Crestview improved to 10-4 overall and 4-0 in the NWC. Alex Arellano had 23 points and Treston Gonzalez scored 10 for Paulding (8-7, 2-3).

Delphos Jefferson 54,

Lincolnview 49

VAN WERT — Trey Smith had 22 points and Jace Stockwell scored 16 as Delphos Jefferson won its first NWC game of the season against three league losses. The Wildcats are 8-7 overall. Justis Dowdy led Lincolnview (8-7, 1-3 NWC) with 18 points.

Ottawa-Glandorf 76, Kenton 51

KENTON — Noah Bramlage (14), Brad Recker (12) and Jordan Verhoff (10) all scored in double digits for O-G. Austin Phillips had 20 points and Colyn Blackford scored 15 for Kenton.

NORTH BALTIMORE — Drew Johnson had 14 points and Ryan Lee scored 10 for Pandora-Gilboa.

Leipsic 66, Vanlue 45

LEIPSIC — Jordan Brown had 25 points and Grant Schroeder scored 10 for Leipsic, which improved to 8-6 overall and 6-2 in the Blanchard Valley Conference.

Miller City 81, Riverdale 69

MOUNT BLANCHARD — Adam Niese (24), Jackson Lammers (16) and Adam Drummelsmith (13) all scored in double digits for Miller City.

Waynesfield-Goshen 38

MCGUFFEY — Lane Hurley had 43 points and Camer Parker scored 11 for USV. Lake Turner had 12, points and Jarrod Bly scored 10 for Waynesfield-Goshen.

Minster 73, Parkway 44

ROCKFORD — Gabe Goodwin had 23 points and Josh Nixon, Jacob Stechschulte and Drew Ripploh scored 10 each for Minster.

Coldwater 62, Ft. Recovery 55

FORT RECOVERY — Andy Brunet (17), Aaron Harlamert (14) and Derek Thobe (12) all scored in double digits for Coldwater. Kyle Schroer (18), Micaiah Cox (14) and Brandon Schoen (10) all finished in double digits for Fort Recovery.

New Bremen 56, New Knoxville 41

NEW BREMEN — Carson Manger had 14 points and Alex Britton scored 11 for New Bremen. Adam Howe led New Knoxville with 14 points.

St. Henry 43, Delphos St. John’s 30

DELPHOS — Ryan Mikesell had 16 points and Caleb Bender scored 12 for St. Henry. Tyler Conley and Alex Odenweller led Delphos St. John’s with eight points. each.

Diving records

DEFIANCE — Several diving records fell during the Western Buckeye League Championships on Thursday.

Sawyer Weitzel’s WBL record 11 dives points total of 446.7 also broke her own Celina record of 440.75. Second place Madison Taylor’s 435.35 points total broke her old St. Marys mark of 359.95.

Brock Fletcher, who finished second in the boys event, topped his own Shawnee mark of 339.45 with a points total of 380.65. T.J. Mele of St. Marys, who came in fourth, finished with 345.65 points, bettering the old school record of 335.71 points set by Drew Bruns in 2006.
