CLEVELAND (AP) — A 19-year-old suspect in a Cleveland home invasion has been jailed on a murder charge after his 16-year-old alleged accomplice was fatally shot by the homeowner.
Cleveland.com (http://bit.ly/2g6gbZH ) reports the younger boy was shot in the head and the older teen was shot in the face and wounded during the confrontation Sunday night.
Police say the pair broke in through a back door, and the 68-year-old resident fired twice when they charged at him. He wasn't hurt.
Police say the 16-year-old was found dead in the backyard. They say suspect Antwaun Williams Jr., of Cleveland, fled and was arrested at a hospital.
It wasn't clear if Williams has an attorney.
In Ohio, a suspect can be charged with murder if an accomplice's death results from the suspect committing a felony.
