CLEVELAND (AP) — Police say seven firearms and other items were stolen from a Cleveland home whose residents describe themselves as "doomsday preppers" who prepare for the possibility of war.
Teena Brayen tells WEWS-TV (http://bit.ly/2gAMjbx ) her family was sleeping Tuesday morning when someone apparently entered the home through a side door that had been left unlocked. Brayen says the thief took a high-powered rifle, five shotguns, a pellet gun, a thousand dollars' worth of ammunition, a dozen knives, a bullet-proof vest and smoke grenades.
She says she's worried that the items intended to protect her family are now with someone who might misuse them or hurt others.
Police are investigating the theft.
