CLEVELAND (AP) — A longtime Cleveland television weather forecaster is wrapping up a 55-year career.
Dick Goddard planned to make his farewell on WJW-TV Tuesday night.
The 85-year-old Goddard began his career in 1961 at KYW before moving to WJW, where he has spent the past 50 years.
He announced his retirement in May but still plans to appear on-air as an advocate for animal welfare and adoption.
WJW says it planned to send Goddard off in style with tributes from many, including NBC's Al Roker and Cleveland native Drew Carey.
