Led by medalist Rylee Deitsch’s 80, St. Henry won the Jordan Moeller Memorial Invitational held Saturday at the par 72 Mercer County Elks.

Jack Romer (81), Kyle Naumann (87) and Lucas Grieshop (88) also contributed to the Redskins’ winning score of 336. Romer’s score tied Kyle Cotner of Versailles for the second-lowest of the event.

Versailles (349) finished second with St. Marys (353), Shawnee (356) and Minster (364) rounding out the top five.

Bodkins’ Josh Miller and Russia’s Dylan Cordonnier each shot 82 to tie for fourth. Celina’s Lance Mawer (104), Coldwater’s Andrew Fisher (94), Fort Recovery’s Micaiah Cox (91), Marion Local’s Collin Fleck (87), Minster’s Ben Stubbs (85), New Bremen’s Cole Hemmelgarn (103), New Knoxville’s Robert Egbert (433), Parkway’s Mason Baxter (89), Shawnee’s Sam Reed (85), St. Marys’ Jill Schmitmeyer (86) and Van Wert’s Jared Hernandez (94) had the low scores for their respective schools.

WAPAKONETA — Alex Lause and Luke Beach each had two goals and Jeffery Atkins, Kaleb Benny and Kyle Lenhart had one each. Jordan Bowers had a pair of assists. Noah Ritchie made five saves to get the shutout in goal.

Paulding 2, Ottoville 1

OTTOVILLE — Paulding’s Jared Paschall and Joshua Trausch and Ottoville’s Evan Boecker each scored a goal.

Celina 1, Bluffton 0

BLUFFTON — Jarren Casto had the lone goal. Teammate Aden Gariety had four saves in goal while Bluffton counterpart Levi Smith had two saves.

RAWSON — Kalida’s Hannah Warn and Cory-Rawson’s Hayley Waltz each had a goal. Kalida keeper Morgan Knapke had six saves and C-R counterpart Hannah Bixler had five.

SHAWNEE TOWNSHIP — Bella Fusillo and Sophia Fusillo each had a goal for Shawnee.

BATH TOWNSHIP — Bath’s Kelsey Wallace, Lauren Singhaus, Kennedy Fagan and Lexi Foley and Fort Jennings’ Erin Eickholt and Lexi Hoersten each had a goal.

BATH TOWNSHIP — Old Fort defeated St. Henry 25-21, 25-20 to win the championship. Parkway topped Eaton 25-17-, 25-22 for third place and Bath fell 25-17, 17-25, 27-25 to Bryan in the consolation final.

Against Bryan, Abby Cosart had 25 assists, Kennedy Metcalf had 13 kills and Riley Iiames had 25 digs for Bath. The Wildkittens also topped Toledo Woodward 25-9, 25-9 as Coast had 10 assists and Bailey Dackin had six kills. Bath opened the tournament with a 25-17, 25-17 loss to Parkway. Cosart had 14 assists, Metcalf had eight kills and Amanda Parks had eight digs.

Upper Scioto Valley 2,

Elida 1

BLUFFTON — USV won 25-23, 21-25, 24-26. Becca Tschuour and Maddie Murphy had five aces each, Tschour had 10 kills, Murphy had 13 assists and Lindsay Brocklehurst had five digs for Elida.

Bluffton 2, Elida 0

BLUFFTON — The Pirates won 25-12, 26-24. Brocklehurst had three aces, Tschuor had five kills and Isabelle Shrider and Murphy had five assists each for Elida.

Perry 2, Miller City 1

MILLER CITY — The Commodores won 25-13, 15-25, 25-23. Sofie VanWerzel had seven kills, Meggan Meyer had three blocks, Brittany Kuhlman had nine assists and 11 digs, and Abbey Schroeder had 15 digs for Miller City. Perry’s stats were not available by deadline.

Wayne Trace 2, Miller City 0

MILLER CITY — Wayne Trace won 25-15, 25-17. Meyer had three aces, Cayla Troyer had seven assists and Makenna Ricker had eight digs for Miller City.

CONVOY — Sarah Klausing had 10 kills, Carlee Miller had nine kills and 15 digs and Sarah Klausing had 16 assists for Kalida.

CONVOY — Miller and Brooke Kimball had eight kills each, Dana Knueve had six digs, Tara Gerding had 12 assists and Klausing had 11 assists for Kalida.

TIFFIN — Ohio Northern opened the Ohio Athletic Conference portion of its schedule with a loss at Heidelberg at Hornemann Stadium.

The contest was the sixth in the Bendekovic Bowl series and was the first night game in stadium history.

The Polar Bears fall to 0-2 overall and are 0-1 in the OAC, while the Student Princes improve to 1-1, 1-0.

Anna graduate Christiaan Williams led the Ohio Northern offense with 123 yards rushing, 63 yards receiving and 186 all-purpose yards.

Bluffton runs

at Otterbein

WESTERVILLE — The Bluffton University men’s and women’s teams ran in the Otterbein University Invitational on Saturday. The Bluffton men 12th out of 17 teams with 274 points behind first-place Otterbein (50). The Bluffton women finished 11th (263) out of 17 teams behind team winner Otterbein.

Kris Lyons led the men’s team with a 20th place finish in the field of 215 men. Anna Hairston led the women’s squad, breaking the finish line in 36th place in the field of 214.
