Lane-Harvey, Kreeger tabbed first-team, All-Ohio


COLUMBUS — Perry’s Jakoby Lane-Harvey and Delphos St. John’s Tim Kreeger were named to the 2017 Division IV All-Ohio first teams and Lane-Harvey’s coach, Matt Tabler, shared Coach of the Year honors with Mansfield St. Peter’s Jared Kakubick announced Monday. Lane-Harvey, who averaged 16 points this year, helped lead the Commodores to a berth in the Division IV state semi finals Thursday and a third straight Northwest Central Conference title with a 24-3 record. Lane Harvey was also player of the year in the NWCC. Kreeger, also heading to Columbus with Delphos to compete at the state tournament, averaged 18.7 points a game. Kreeger was a first-team all-Midwest Athletic Conference selection. Tabler finished with a 24-3 mark and shared the coach of the year honors with Mansfield St. Peter’s head coach Jared Jakubick. Garnering third team honors was Pandora-Gilboa’s Drew Johnson. The Rockets junior was the Putnam County League player of the year and averaged 19.3 points per game. Fellow PCL opponents, Leipsic’s Grant Schroeder, and Continental’s Wade Stauffer, received honorable mention accolades. Crestview’s Javin Etzler was also an honorable mention selection.
