• Coldwater: The Cavaliers have some key pieces back from last year’s 11-13, 2-7 MAC finish, including junior Maura Hoying (9.4 points and 4.9 rebounds per game last year) and junior Kourtney Diller (8.4 point and 2.4 rebounds per game).

• Fort Recovery: The Indians have four starters back from last year’s second-place MAC finish, including 6-foot forward Whitney Kill, who averaged 11.3 points and 4.9 rebounds a game last year, Grace Thien (8.9 points and 4.1 rebounds) and Carley Stone (5.9 points and 3.8 rebounds).

• Marion Local: The Flyers have three senior starters (Jessie Kramer, Macey Griesdorn, Chloe Bertke) returning from last year’s 14-12, 3-6 MAC squad, and they’re versatile squad in their motion and open post offense with a half-court man-to-man defense.

• Parkway: First-year coach Linda Hawk has just one senior on a young Panther squad, but it helps to have junior forward Haley Hawk (10.9 points and 6.0 rebounds per game last year) returning after a 7-16, 0-9 season a year ago.

• St. Henry: Both of St. Henry’s all-league players from last year graduated after the 5-18, 1-8 MAC finish.

• Versailles: The Tigers have key pieces back from last year’s MAC championship run. Kami McEldowney, a first-team all-MAC pick as a sophomore last year, returns with her 10.5 points per game, as do fellow junior Danielle Winner (second team, 10.7 points, 6.8 rebounds) and senior Camille Watren (honorable mention, 4.6 points)
