KALIDA — The host Wildcats claimed the Kalida High School Invitational boys golf tournament Wednesday at Country Acres Golf Club.
Collin Nartker (74), Jeff Knueve (77), Trent Siebeneck (80) and Christian Nartker (81) combined for Kalida’s winning score of 312 followed by Meadowbrook (315).
Shawnee (336) was fourth and Delphos St. John’s (339) sixth followed by St. Marys (340). Bath (352) also was in the top 10, finishing ninth. Meadowbrook’s Trey Singleton was medalist with a 1-under 71.
Other area players who had the low scores for their teams included: Austin Lucas (76) of Delphos St. John’s, Shawnee’s Keaton McKinley (77), St. Marys’ Jacob Hollman (78), Van Wert’s Jared Hernandez (79), Allen East’s Grant Whitley (83), Bath’s Jeremiah Bolon (85), Fort Jennings’ Logan Hardeman (86), Ottawa-Glandorf’s Austin Radcliffe (89), Ottoville’s Andy Schimmoeller (93) and Celina’s Lance Mawer (97).
At Delphos Country Club (par 36)
DELPHOS — Paulding (184) had the low score in a Northwest Conference match involving Delphos Jefferson (194), Crestview (202) and Ada (333).
Fletcher Cook (45), Ethan Dominique (46), Kade McGarvey (46) and Weston Philpot (47) combined for the winning team score. Crestview’s Colton Lautzenheiser was medalist with a 42. Delphos Jefferson’s Braden Hammons (44) and Ada’s Taylor Ramey (71) had the low round for their respective squads.

VERSAILLES — Medalist Tanner Sweede (35), Logan Miller (40), Drew Zwiebel (43) and Jared Miller (44) all contributed to Wapakoneta’s low team score of 162 at the par-35 Stillwater Valley Golf Club followed by Russia (185) and New Bremen (230).
Shawnee 5, Ada 0
ADA — Singles players Alotus Wei, Sanjana Rajasekaran and Whitney Baxter and the doubles teams of Rishika Avvari and Meghana Chanamolu and Bree Barker and Rachel Brogee all won matches at Ada Park.
Ohio Senior Amateur
SHAWNEE TOWNSHIP — Cincinnati’s Derek Gustafson won the Ohio Senior Amateur on Wednesday at the par-72 Shawnee Country Club. Gustafson’s two sub-par rounds of 70-71 were six shots ahead of Dan DeVore also from Cincinnati.
In the Super Senior division (for those over 65 years old), Larry Landtiser Sr. of Saint Clairsville finished with a two-day total of 149 for a seven-shot victory over Medina’s Gene Bingman and Minster’s Mark Thieman. Lima’s Jim Odenweller (162) finished tied fifth and Lima’s Ken Sweeney (165) was tied for eighth.
Area players competing in the senior division included: Lima’s Timothy Windau (157), Dennis Medeiros (159), Kendall House (162), Matt McGraw (162), Scott Koenig (166) and Robert Schulte (168).
