It was probably wet and soggy wherever golf was played in the area Monday but several area teams got on the courses.
Lincolnview won a four-team Northwest Conference boys match at Tamarac behind a 37 by Joshah Rager and a 39 by Ryan Moody.
The Lancers totaled 167, eight strokes ahead of Spencerville’s 175. Gavin Harmon led the Bearcats with a 39 and Ethan Harmon shot 44. Delphos Jefferson, led by Andrew Foust’s 43, was third at 192 and Bluffton shot a 193, led by Aaron Belcher with a 40.
Fostoria had only one golfer break 40 in its 162-175 win over Lima Central Catholic at Lakeland Golf Club, but Trey Yates’ 33 easily took medalist honors. Dominic Riepenhoff’s 41 was LCC’s best score.
At the Waynesfield-Goshen Invitational, Anna finished first with a 331 and Fort Loramie was second at 335. Temple Christian was third with a 337 and the Pioneers’ Adrian Williams was the medalist in the 14 team tournament with a 76.
Allen East was ninth with a total of 398, led by Grant Whitley’s 85. Waynesfield-Goshen finished 12 out of the 14 teams at 430, with Caden Spencer shooting 88 and Jaden Maxwell getting an 89.
Lima Senior was fourteenth. Latrell Monroe’s 108 was the Spartans’ low score.
Bath won 184-193 over Elida. Hunter Iiames (43) and Jerimiah Bolin (44) led Bath. Drew Sarno of Elida was match medalist with a 42.
Delphos St. John’s won 170-192 over Fort Recovery at the Delphos Country Club, led by a 39 by Derek Klausing and a 40 by Austin Lucas.
In another matchup of Midwest Athletic Conference teams, Parkway defeated New Knoxville 184-208 at Deerfield Golf Course. Cole Schoenleben and Clayton Agler shot 42 for Parkway. Ray Newton’s 46 led New Knoxville.
Also in the MAC, Seth King’s 41 led four St. Henry golfers at 45 or lower in a 174-226 win over Marion Local at Mercer County Elks. Collin Fleck shot 46 for the Flyers.
In a girls high school match, Carina Clune’s 49 was the low round when St. Henry beat Marion Local 202-295.
