HARROD — Kalida finished second to Liberty-Benton on Tuesday at the 19-team Colonial Golf Invitational held at the par-71 Colonial Golfers Club.

The top two teams each finished at 319. Liberty-Benton won the tiebreaker by having the lower fifth score. Shawnee finished third at 322. Other area teams participating included Shawnee JV (347), Bath (351), Elida (374), Spencerville (374), Columbus Grove (379), Bluffton (386), Allen East (391), Ridgemont (412) and Upper Scioto Valley (441).

Shawnee’s Sam Reed took medalist honors with a 74, one stroke lower than Bluffton’s Aaron Belcher. Those two strokes back included Reed teammate Keaton McKinley and Kalida’s Jeffrey Knueve.

Other area players with the low rounds for their respective teams included: Shawnee JV’s Drew Bullock (79), Elida’s Drew Sarno (80), Bath’s Hunter Iiames (82), Spencerville’s Ethan Harmon (85), Columbus Grove’s Kyle Welty (90), Ridgemont’s Zach Jenkins (93), USV’s Brady Hipsher (83) and Allen East’s Grant Whitley (94).

Cardinal Invitational

MINSTER — Fort Loramie, led by medalist Brad Gottemoeller’s 74, won the team title with a 330 at the par 72 Arrowhead Golf Club. Wapakoneta was second at 336 followed by St. Marys (341), Delpho St. John’s (344) and Minster (346). Other Lima area teams competing in the event included Jackson Center (381), Botkins (395), New Bremen (411) and New Knoxville (445).

Low individuals from area teams included: Derek Klausing (75) of Delphos St. John’s, Minster’s Jordan Brackman (76), Wapakoneta’s Logan Miller (81), St. Marys’ Jacob Hollman (80), Jackson Center’s Bryce Sosby (82), Botkins’ Josh Miller (87), New Bremen’s Ezra Ferguson (99) and New Knoxville’s Ray Newton (100).

Mercer County

Invitational

St. Henry (343) was the team winner at the par-72 Mercer County Elks followed by Fort Recovery (377), Parkway (393), Coldwater (411), Marion Local (417) and Celina (428).

Low individuals from area teams included: Coldwater’s Andrew Fisher (87), Marion Local’s Collin Fleck (89) Fort Recovery’s Austin Faller (91), Parkway’s Mason Baxter (93) and Celina’s Lance Mawer (97).

Invitational

BELLEFONTAINE — Lima Central Catholic (358) finished third and Indian Lake (415) was sixth behind team winner Springfield Shawnee 346.

Dominic Riepenhoff led LCC with an 84 and and Izaiah Bias had the low round for Indian Lake with a 95.
