SHAKER HEIGHTS — Grace Ann Crosby and Michael Evan Mawhorter were married at 1 p.m., May 31, 2014, at Fairmount Presbyterian Church, in Cleveland Heights, by the Rev. Eric Dillenbeck.
Parents of the bride are Jim and Cindy (Hollingshead) Crosby, of Shaker Heights.
Parents of the groom are Dr. Steven and Carolyn Mawhorter, of Shaker Heights.
The couple first met in preschool when they were three-years-old.
The bride was given in marriage by her father, Mr. Jim Crosby.
Maid of honor was the bride’s sister, Claire Crosby. Bridesmaids were Alison Boyd, Elizabeth Shick, Jennifer Mawhorter, Claire Stewart and Rachel Kauffman. Flower girl was the bride’s cousin, Genevieve Crosby, of Richmond, VA.
Best man was the groom’s brother, Christopher Mawhorter. Groomsmen included Joseph Durbin, Kyle Krogh, Theodore Cockle, Jacob Carter and Patrick Martahus. Ring bearer was the bride’s cousin, William Crosby, of Richmond, VA.
Guest registrar was Olivia Leslie, of Cleveland Heights. Program attendants were William Leslie, of Cleveland Heights and Samuel Meredith, of Lima.
The bride is a graduate of Shaker Heights High School and Gordon College in Wenham, MA.
The groom is a graduate of Shaker Heights High School and graduated summa cum laude from Wheaton College in Wheaton, IL. He is employed as a research assistant in a laboratory at the Boston University Medical Campus.
The couple took a honeymoon trip to New Orleans.
They reside in Gloucester, MA.
