OAK HARBOR — Behind Jourdan Maguire’s pitching performance, the Oak Harbor Rockets got back to their winning ways with a 13-1 victory in five innings over Woodward on Good Friday.
Maguire, who allowed one run in four innings, struck out eight and walked two to get the win.
He got plenty of help at the plate as Garrett Harvey finished with a double and three RBIs and Maguire, Andy Rathbun, Ben Genzman and Kyle Pape each finished with an RBI.
Holding a 4-1 lead in the fourth inning, Oak Harbor scored nine runs to put the game out of reach.
Huron 9, Oak Harbor 1
Huron scored seven runs in the first two innings to take a big lead before defeating Oak Harbor, 9-1, in Sandusky Bay Conference action.
Jack Hufnagle got the win for the Tigers and he and Andrew Dowell each finished with a double.
Kyle Uher took the loss for the Rockets.
Edison 10, Oak Harbor 0 (6 inn.)
Austin Utter threw a perfect game for Edison, which broke open a close game with seven runs in the fourth and fifth innings before cruising to a 10-0 victory.
Adam Wroblewski had two hits and two RBIs for the Chargers and Owen Moyer chipped in with two hits and three runs.
Garrett Harvey took the loss for the Rockets.
