LIMA — The holiday season is upon us, and that means holiday events are on the horizon. Below is a list of some of the events in the region taking place this week:
Home for the Holidays Art Sale
65-67 Town Square
Ongoing until Dec. 21
This blockbuster art sale features the work of 34 of the area’s best artists, offering the public the chance to buy one-of-a-kind gifts while also supporting local artisans.
Sounds of the Season
3:30 p.m. Dec. 1
Saint Charles Senior Living Community

This event will feature choirs from churches in St. Rose, Maria Stein, Celina and more. There will also be the opportunity to enjoy instrumental music featuring flute, cello, brass, organ and piano.
Christmas Nativity Sets
9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Dec. 1 through Jan. 5

Nativity scenes from various countries will be on display in the first floor hallway. The sets are courtesy of the University of Dayton, Marian Library.
North Pole Express

6 to 9 p.m. Fridays, 5 to 9 p.m. Saturdays and 5 to 8 p.m. Sundays through Dec. 29.
Admission: $2 for adults, $1 for children 12 and under, and free for active duty military personnel and their immediate families.
The North Pole Express quarter-scale train ride will transport passengers through a sparkling light and decoration display, and over 60 decorated trees will adorn the museum. There will also be several model train layouts, and there will be plenty of gift ideas in the railroad gift shop.
