LIMA — Thanksgiving is this coming Thursday, and many organizations are planning special meals for the community to enjoy. Below are a few events taking place in the region:


LIMA


Jerry Lewis’ McDonald’s Thanksgiving Day Dinner


Veterans Memorial Civic Center


11 a.m. to 2 p.m.


The Lewis family will be throwing a Thanksgiving feast for the whole community, complete with all the trimmings. The dinner is free and open to the public.


Thanksgiving dinner and coat giveaway


The Future Church


125 W. Kibby St.


5 to 6:30 p.m.


The Future Church and Livingword Fellowship will be offering a free dinner to the community, as well as giving away coats to anyone in need of a winter coat. Anyone wishing to donate a coat can call 419-224-7372.


WAPAKONETA


Wapakoneta Community Dinner


First English Lutheran Church


107 W. Mechanic St.


11 a.m. to 2 p.m.


The dinner is open to anyone in the community. Participants are asked to use the south entrance to the fellowship hall. Carryouts are also available after 1 p.m.


CELINA


Community Thanksgiving Day Gathering


Celina High School


Franklin Elementary School, Montezuma


Memorial High School, St. Marys


11 a.m. to 2 p.m.


Join family and friends at either of three different locations to enjoy a full turkey dinner with all the trimmings, entertainment and fellowship. Deliveries for home bound individuals are available from noon to 2 p.m. and can be reserved by calling 419-586-3201.
