VAN WERT — Van Wert County officials were looking for suspects in Sunday morning robbery.

Sheriff Thomas M. Riggenbach said the Rambler's Roost on Lincoln Highway was robbed at about 2 a.m.

Riggenbach said investigators believe Trent A. Webster, 49, of Van Wert, was the robber and that a warrant has been issued for his arrest.

Riggenbach said the robber entered the business and told an employee to give him money. The robber also told the employee someone else was waiting outside and there would be problems if he was not given the money. The employee complied with the robber's demand.

Riggenbach said investigators believe the second person might have been James R. Reynolds, 34, of Fort Jennings. Reynolds is a person of interest in this robbery and is a suspect in a robbery that occurred in Paulding County on Oct. 4. The Paulding County Sheriff's Office has a warrant for Reynolds for aggravated robbery, a second degree felony.

Riggenbach asked that anyone who has information on this robbery, or the location of Webster or Reynolds, to contact the Van Wert County Sheriff's Office at 419-238-3866 or use the Sheriff's Office website at www.vanwertcountysheriff.com using the “Submit a Crime Tip” link. You may also contact the Paulding County Sheriff's Office at 419-399-3791, or access the Paulding County Sheriff's Office Facebook page, or the Paulding County Sheriff's Office website at pauldingohsheriff.com.

Residents can also contact Van Wert County Crime Stoppers at 419-238-STOP. Anyone reporting information can remain anonymous.
