LIMA — No one was injured in a fire at a vacant house Wednesday night.

The fire at 806 E. Michael Ave., was reported at 10:46 a.m. When firefighters arrived, flames were visible from three sides of the home in the upstairs, Battalion Chief Ed Hower said.

No one was injured. The fire caused an estimated $22,000 in damage, close to its entire value, to the home owned by Lepiota Rentals, according to Allen County Auditor records and Hower.

The home, built in 1920, did not have electricity connected and was under renovation. It will be demolished, Hower said.

The cause of the fire remained under investigation, he said.
