Elida and Lima Central are coming off a Saturday night battle royal in which Elida came away with a thrilling 70-69 boys basketball victory.


Both teams were rewarded for their seasons on Sunday.


Both Elida and LCC received No. 1 seeds in their tournaments, as the boys basketball sectional pairings were held Sunday afternoon. Unbeaten Crestview also picked up a No. 1 seed.


In the Division II sectional at Lima Senior, No. 1 seed Elida (15-3) has the bye and will meet the St. Marys/Shawnee winner for the upper bracket sectional title at 6:15 p.m. on Feb. 28 at Lima Senior.


St. Marys will play Shawnee in the opening round at 6:15 p.m. on Feb. 25 at Lima Senior.


In the lower bracket, Bath (14-3), the No. 2 seed has the bye and will meet the Celina/Wapakoneta winner for the sectional title at 8 p.m. on Feb. 28 at Lima Senior.


Celina will open with Wapakoneta at 8 p.m. on Feb. 25 at Lima Senior.


In the Division III sectional at St. Marys, No. 1 seed LCC (14-3) has the bye. The T-Birds will meet the Parkway/Allen East winner for the upper bracket sectional title at 6:15 p.m. on Feb. 28 at St. Marys.


St. Henry was seeded No. 2 in the sectional, while Van Wert was seeded No. 3.


In the lower bracket, St. Henry will open with Delphos Jefferson, while Van Wert will meet Coldwater.


In the Division III sectional at Defiance, Ottawa-Glandorf was seeded No. 1, while Paulding was seeded No. 2.


O-G will meet the Bluffton/Fairview winner for the sectional title at 8 p.m. on Feb. 28 at Defiance. Bluffton will open with Fairview at 8 p.m. on Feb. 25 at Defiance.


In the Division II sectional at Anthony Wayne, Defiance received the No. 1 seed. Bryan was seeded No. 2


In the Division I sectional at Otsego, Perrysburg received the No. 1 seed. Findlay was seeded No. 2


Lima Senior will open the tournament against Bowling Green at 7 p.m. on Feb. 26 at Otsego. The Bowling Green/Lima Senior will meet Findlay at 6:15 p.m. on Feb. 28 at Otsego.


In the Division IV sectional at Kenton, Northwest Central Conference champion Upper Scioto Valley received the No. 1 seed. Arlington received the No. 2 seed, while NWCC runner-up Perry was seeded No. 3.


Perry opens the tournament against Ridgemont at 8 p.m. Feb. 26 at Kenton. The Perry/Ridgemont winner will meet the Arlington/Hardin Northern winner for the sectional title at 8 p.m. on Feb. 28 at Kenton.


In the Division IV sectional at Van Wert, Crestview (18-0) received the No. 1 seed, while Delphos St. John’s (10-6) was seeded No. 2.


Crestview will play the Temple Christian/Fort Jennings winner for the sectional title at 6:15 p.m. Feb. 28 at Van Wert.


Temple Christian will meet Fort Jennings at 6:15 p.m. Feb. 25 at Van Wert.


Delphos St. John’s will meet the Lincolnview/Ottoville winner for the sectional title at 8 p.m. Feb. 28 at Van Wert.


In the Division IV sectional at Coldwater, Fort Recovery received the No. 1 seed. Spencerville was seeded No. 2.


Spencerville will meet the New Knoxville/New Bremen winner for the sectional title at 6:15 p.m. on Feb. 28 at Coldwater.


In the Division IV sectional at Ottawa-Glandorf, Miller City (12-7) received the No. 1 seed. Columbus Grove (11-7) was seeded No. 2.
