Toledo Whitmer slips by Lima Senior in OT

Benjamin scores 35 for Spartans

TOLEDO — Toledo Whitmer needed every bit of overtime to knock off Lima Senior 83-79 in a girls basketball game Monday at Toledo.


Indiya Benjamin paced the Spartans with 35 points, nine steals and three assists. Rion Thompson had 19 points. Kierre James scored 10.


Lima Senior led 31-25 at the half and 48-41 after three quarters. The game was tied at 68 at the end of regulation.


Lima Senior is 4-1, 1-1 in the Three Rivers Athletic Conference. Whitmer is 3-2, 1-1 in the TRAC.


Lima Senior was 16 of 28 at the foul line. Whitmer hit 35 of 50 at the line.

BOTKINS — New Bremen went out to a 41-18 lead at the half and coasted in with the victory.


Rosie Westerbeck paced the New Bremen offense with 20 points.


New Bremen is 3-2.


[head]Minster 75, Mississinawa Valley 34


MISSISSINAWA — Minster’s Kayla Richard scored 16 points to lead the Wildcats to a non-league win over Mississinawa Valley.


Logan Arnold added nine points for Minster. Claire Fischer scored nine with three 3-pointers.

[head]Ottawa-Glandorf 52, Columbus Grove 29


OTTAWA — Ottawa-Glandorf knocked off Columbus Grove in a match at O-G.


For O-G, Logan Balbaugh, Ralph Recker, Jeremy Gibson and Derek Ebbeskotte had pins. For Columbus Grove, Christian Steck, Will Selhorst and Andrew Burgei had pins.


O-G is 4-3.
