6 to 8 — Peony Festival, Van Wert — The Peony Festival is in honor of this city's history. Van Wert was once home of large commercial peony farms, and the first festival was in 1932. The festival now offers a flower show, parade and many other events.

7 — Indian Lake Fireworks Fund Ride, Old Field Beach, Indian Lake

7 — Relay for Life of Mercer County, Lakeshore Park, Celina

7 — Kids Fishing Derby, Windy Point, Grand Lake St. Marys

13 — Bluffton Festival of Wheels, Bluffton — This year's Festival of Wheels is the 47th anniversary. The large cruise-in opens at 2 p.m. on Main Street, with judging at 5 p.m. A cruise down Main Street is at 8 p.m.

13 — Rockford Cruise In/Car Show, Rockford

13 and 14 — Pork Rind Heritage Festival, Harrod — This year is the 26th anniversary of the festival, which features fresh-popped pork rinds and other festival foods. The festival opens at 6 p.m. Friday, with a chili cookoff, a community VBS program, an animal show, a cake walk at the Rudolph booth and more. Country act Clark Manson & Band go on at 9:30 p.m. On Saturday, there will be a 5K/fun run, breakfast, parade, kiddie tractor pull, cruise-in, cornhole tourney, children's activities, and bands throughout the day. Rock band Brother Believe Me goes on at 9 p.m.

13 and 14 — Rockford Community Garage Sales, Rockford

13 to 15 — Community Days, Rockford

15 to 22 — Columbus Grove Sesquicentennial Celebration, Columbus Grove — This festival will have an opening ceremony Sunday and have evening evening through the week until opening up for all-day events the final Saturday and Sunday. There will be musical entertainment, a beer tent, bands, vendors, cornhole tourney, rides, car show, train tours, farm equipment show, parade and plenty more.

19 — Putt Around Town, Lima

19 to 22 — Fort Recovery Jubilee, Ambassador Park, Fort Recovery

20 — Rally in the Square, Lima

21 — Riverside Wine Festival, Riverside Park, Findlay

21 — Soap Box Derby, Lima — The Soap Box Derby has been happening in Lima for more than 50 years, featuring youth building and racing their gravity-fueled cars. The raceway is set up on “Derby Hill” near Faurot Park.

21 — Turkeyfoot Hospice Parade and Auction, Turkeyfoot Point, Indian Lake

23 to 28 — Putnam County Fair, Ottawa

26 to 29 — Spencerville Summerfest, Spencerville — The Spencerville Summerfest begins Thursday with community garage sales (operating throughout the festival) and rides downtown in the evening. On Friday, there will be community food stands, a carnival, vendors, a garden tractor pull and the Hipnotix will go on at 8 p.m. in the beer tent. On Saturday, there will be vendors, a 4-mile run, a co-ed softball tournament, a cruise-in, food stands, carnival, and a parade. Minor Blues and Dave Lyles Band are Saturday night in the beer tent, and karaoke is by the football field. Fireworks begin at 10 p.m. Saturday. On Sunday, duck races will begin at 3 p.m. at the pool.

27 — Rally in the Square, Lima

27 — Relay for Life Auglaize County Fairgrounds, Wapakoneta

27 to 29 — Willshire Days, Willshire

27 to 29 — Maria Stein Country Fest, Maria Stein Relic Shrine Grounds, Maria Stein

27 to 29 — All Breed Dog Show, Lima Kennel Club, Lima

28 — Movie on the Beach, Old Field Beach State Park, Indian Lake

28 — Ohio National Champion Motorcycle Races, Allen County Fairgrounds, Lima — These half-mile motorcycle races will take place at the grandstand on its dirt track. This is always a popular event, so plan for heavy traffic.

29 — Friends Serving Friends Golf Outing, Cherokee Hills Golf Course, Bellefontaine

29 — Ride Out for the Cure, Village Cafe, Cridersville

29 — Charity Car Show, Westgate Parking Lot, Lima — The Charity Car Show, in addition to featuring many classic cars, will feature a new event this year. The American Bombshells, a girl group, will perform songs from the 1940s and other classic patriotic music.
