It is laughable to see folks such as Gov. John Kasich and U.S. Sen. Rob Portman sounding like they are taking credit for getting new jobs for Ford’s Engine Plant.

It wasn’t that long ago that these two were joined at the hip of then presidential candidate Mitt Romney, who, if elected, wanted to let the auto industry go bankrupt. Thanks to President Barack Obama and his administration and a Democratic majority Senate the auto industry survived and has recovered and still growing. Outsourced production is returning to the United States and all the Republicans have left is to continue to bash Obamacare, which also is going to work.

I realize it is an off-year election but these career politicians need to be sent a message that it is time for a change, especially here in Central and Northwest Ohio.

Instead of being in Lima, Kasich is in Las Vegas trying to pry money out of very rich people in case he decides to run for president. I would suggest he contact his former buddies of Lehman Brothers (bankrupt) for help.

It is an election year and change can happen by taking a good hard look at Democrats on local, state, and national ballots and get back to an actual two-party system instead of one party trying to control everything from women’s rights, marriage, the economy, and a host of other issues that matter to all of us “Pluggers” out here.
